Cheryl Martinez is currently an assistant director with the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission (RSC), within the Bureaus of Vocational Rehabilitation and Services for the Visually Impaired. RSC’s mission is to work with people with disabilities to obtain or retain employment. Previously, Cheryl worked over twenty years in the criminal justice field, beginning as a probation officer in Lucas County, where she attended law school at the University of Toledo, College of Law. In 1989 Cheryl obtained her law degree and took a position with the Attorney General’s office, representing the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. In 1991 Cheryl became in-house counsel for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, and held several positions with them over the next 14 years. Cheryl also has undergraduate degrees in criminal justice and corrections, both from the University of Toledo.
