Barb Thomas received her master's degree in Special Education, Administration and Supervision from the University of Cincinnati. She has also been certified through AASECT,The American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
In addition, she has been certified as a Juvenile Sex Offender Counselor through the University of Louisville. Barb's work through TECS, Education Center, is with individuals with developmental challenges in the area of Sexuality Education. She works with individuals and runs Educational Support classes in the area of Sexuality Education; has teen and adult "social" groups that help the individuals interact with their peers more appropriately and is a consultant that attends and actively participates in ISP and IEP meetings.
Barb also opened up a non-profit organization, the
TALL Institute (Thomas Adventures in lifelong learning), She is the Director of TECS, Education center where folks can come and take a class with others that have similar interests in such things as dance, arts and crafts, travel and more. Again, the focus is to assist others in making friends and being appropriate in social and vocational environments. Barb has been teaching since 1975.
