Mr. Vincent Holland is presently Chief Probation Officer of the Cuyahoga County Adult Probation Department. He has worked for the department for over 28 years as a probation officer, supervisor and manager. He has worked with the sex offender, mentally disordered, intensive supervision, home detention, work release and mentally retarded offenders projects. He has also worked as a supervisor of the alcohol and drug dependency unit. He has written grants for gang training, offender cognitive educational and victims advocacy programs. He has also done counseling in the field of chemical dependency for Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals.

He graduated with a degree in political science/prelaw from Cleveland State. He also obtained a Masters of sociology from Case Western Reserve University (now Case) and a Masters in public administration from Cleveland State University. He is presently a candidate for a Ph.D. at Cleveland State University’s Levin College of Urban Studies. Mr. Holland also is licensed through the Ohio State Board of Chemical Dependency Counselors at the rank of LICDC. He authored the article, “Street Gangs: The Urban National State and Local Experience”, for the American Correctional Association’s 2001 annual conference publication.
